Gwesty Seren Hotel is part of the Seren Charity which supports adults with physical and learning disabilities to live their best possible lives. It is unique in Wales, being the only hotel run in conjunction with a team of adults with disabilities and staff. We welcome all guests and have focused on providing inclusive services with accessibility in mind.

Our aim is to make the most of this beautiful Georgian building, its architecture and its unique setting. Outstanding panoramic views create a comfortable, spacious, country retreat as a base while exploring the rich variety of options the area has to offer. Rooms have been tastefully decorated, taking inspiration from the surrounding nature to ensure a warm, intimate and luxurious feel.

Location

Located in the heart of Gwynedd

Delightfully situated on the outskirts of the historical village of Llan Ffestiniog, near the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, and Maentwrog Valley. We are surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of Eryri (Snowdonia National Park) in the heart of Gwynedd and within one of the six slate industrial communities forming the UNESCO world heritage site in recognition of its world class slate industry.

The hotel sits at the top of Allt Goch hill overlooking views of Stwlan Dam and Snowdon Mountain range to the front of the hotel. To the far-left, the Dwyryd river flows into the Estuary where the famous Portmeirion Italian village later sits. Glaslyn Wildlife Osprey Reserve can be overlooked on the near left of the hotel front which overlooks naturalised gardens and undulating lawns.

We are ideally located for guests wishing to enjoy outdoor adventures in the fantastic natural landscape, be they a wide variety of high adrenalin activities available or at a more leisurely pace to admire the breathtaking views.

Blaenau Ffestiniog is situated at the heart of Gwynedd, surrounded by mountains, off road trails including forestry routes and superb views.

Our bespoke, state of the art sensory room offers a calming space for all age ranges.

Meeting Room

We have a dedicated meeting room which comfortably sits 10 delegates, with capacity to extend to 12 where required to hold meetings, small conferences or training sessions.

Group/Exclusive use bookings

Groups of visitors up to the full capacity and exclusive use of the hotel are welcome. We are able to offer a bespoke service having discussed the wishes of specific groups, including tailored, organised activities using our local knowledge of the area and facilities required.
